Rents are rising, construction costs are skyrocketing – and living space is becoming increasingly scarce. Berlin is facing one of the greatest urban planning challenges in its history: how can we create enough space for a growing population without plunging the city into chaos?

Gabriel Khodzitski and Josef Girshovich examine the most pressing issues in urban development. What innovative concepts could help Berlin move forward? Why is new construction alone not enough? And what investment opportunities arise from this predicament?
